In accordance with its common name, the flowers of this plant do have an unpleasant smell! However it does create an attractive ground cover if given adequate sunlight. The stinking pennywort is easily out competed by weed species.
Leaves are reniform (kidney shaped) and have 6 or more lobes on the edges. Covered in fine hairs and obvious veins.
Male and female flowers are on different plants. With the female flowers appearing as a small round cluster similar in appearance to a green raspberry. Male flowers open up with longer white stalks and fine petals.
